Belleview/Summerfield Racers Getting Ready To Go Racing
Contributed by BJ Cavin on Saturday, January 12, 2008 10:29 PM
The 2007 racing season ended at Ocala Speedway in November, but the 55 year old speedway has been anything quiet since then. For all but 12 of those 55 years, Ocala
Speedway featured racing on dirt, and all of the off season activity has centered around the oldest speedway in Florida returning to its dirt roots for 2008. That process is all but finished now, and many Belleview/Summerfield based race teams are anxious to get their first shot at turning laps on the...

With the sensation that the parcel might have been lost, the Skywatcher Chief contacted the real estate agent who confirmed that the parcel wanted for the new Skywatcher Nation, has been sold. The tribe has again lost another race.
This latest loss is due to artwork being file shared and Central Florida's news agencies discrimination against the tribe. Even the dumbest and most useless event gets media attention, but when it comes to the Skywatcher tribe there is no...

Contributed by John Martello on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 10:29 PM

Scrolling down the stories listed here, it was noticed that a reporter from the Star Banner did an article on Belleview's future and how they wanted more of the citizen's participation. It is believed the tribe's activities would boost participation with free events such as arts and crafts shows, powwows, caving, scientific studies,...

Help The American Mustang
Contributed by Amber Scott on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 11:58 AM
Many Americans are unaware of whats going on in the west. I too was unaware until not that long ago. When I did catch wind of the deplorable actions of a couple of our U.S. Senates I was enraged.
For hundreds of years the American Mustang has roamed free, a descendant of the first horse introduced into North America by the Spanish settlers in 1492. The horse was highly prized by the Native Americans who liberated them from the settlers.
The Native American's philosophy...

Journey to Belleview
Contributed by John Martello on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 9:52 PM
The Chief of the Skywatcher Tribe, and members of his family, are making the 90 minute journey to Belleview on Saturday, August 18, to tour the parcel that is for sale in the #1 preferred site. There's only so much one can see on a satellite photo and the single photo of the home on the 2.5 acre parcel is limited, so a first hand inspection will be made. Afterward, one of the nearby pizza shoppes will be visited to get to know the area better (in addition to seeking the pizza that matches...
